Quoted from adol75:

My thoughts exactly. Amazon has a similar if not identical content than Netflix, outside of home made stuff.
That being said the hulu plan with ad included in the Disney bundle shows a lot of ads (People say 5 breaks an hour + before and after ad).

Amazon blows compared to Netflix IMO. Including the interface. The documentaries and original content on NF are great.

I’ve just given up and have all of them. Including shudder for horror stuff.

At the cost of a drink for each service, it’s not worth my time to Play the what’s canceled this month and what’s not game.

Quoted from adol75:

On original content there’s no discussion Netflix rules by far although I find the binge watching policy to damage the content.
I remember the week long discussions and theories following each episode of Lost, it was engaging and as much entertaining as the show itself.
Also the word came out that Disney removed The Simpsons episode with Michael Jackson, it seems obvious that purging content for pc reasons is becoming the norm, regardless of my opinion on MJ, I find that to be very questionnable.

Eh. I’m fine if the want to pull shows featuring pedophiles.

Quoted from adol75:

As I said in my post, the point isn't specific to the MJ episode, it's about altering the integrity of an artistic work for whatever reason. You might agree with this one, but maybe will disagree with another editing. The point there is that the content you get is not guaranteed anymore and is not left to your decision based on your own moral values.
If I had the DVDs of the Simpsons, I could have decided to throw away the one with MJ, or just skip the episode on Disney+, what matters is that I want to leave that choice to myself, not to another authority.

Disney isn’t an ‘authority’ they are the owner. And they’ve decided not to offer shows featuring pedophiles.

If enough people want to watch cartoon pedophiles perhaps a Disney+Perv add on bundle will become available.

Disney... pass
Funny how many cut the cord with cable and now everyone is paying way more with multiple streaming services.
keep feeding the machine.

Way more lol? For $50 month you could have 4 streaming services (or more) with WAY more content than cable.

Disney is the authority on all the content they own and broadcast. Unless you have copies of it you are under their decision.
And again stop focusing on the pedophile part that is not the point. As mentionned above they did more editing than just cutting off criminal stuff.

So go buy hard copies of their stuff and watch all the pedos you want.

Full version with nice video quality is on Youtube. Man is it terrible, an absolute train wreck. Almost as bad as episodes 1-3

Horrid. Can’t imagine getting through all of that lol.

And what’s with the music ‘video’ at 43 mins? So bizarre

Quoted from adol75:

You still don’t get it. I give up.

I get your point. They’re just trying to please the largest audience they can and minimize backlash over releasing stuff that no longer represents what the majority of their audience believes is appropriate.

It’s a profit maximization move. Not some giant socialist conspiracy.

Quoted from RonSS:

My guess is pretty soon movie theaters are out of business, and if you want to a Disney movie, you'll have to pay handsomely. Either limited to full year subscription, or monthly plus additional fee.
Non availability otherwise.
For this thread, no, no Disney+.
We do Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and FuboTV. I run Plex with a ton of purchased content as well. I'm good.
Honestly, I'm not a Star Wars guy, and the rest of the outdated content seems like a flash in the pan. That said, I'm happy for everyone that finds it helpful.

I wouldn’t even consider it if I didn’t have kids right in the Disney sweet spot. They are in heaven lol
