This was mentioned by me a few days ago, but buried in another thread and probably worthy of its own topic. So the question I had was that when I was finally able to open my arcade, I face a real issue of how to I disinfect machines between customers without running around with wipes.

Here is a solution I found that I can't 100% vouch for, but seems to be in use at some airports and high traffic businesses. Most importantly, likely effective against coronavirus AND one application lasts 90 DAYS. SD 90 is the exact same as SDST, as I verified with the company, all has to do with legal labeling and regulatory requirements.

Here are their factoids on it and coronavirus:

If anyone else has any other disinfection tips, please do share.

Negative air pressure ventilation would be really nice. If you have ever been in a Clean Room for Manufacturing you would know what I mean.

I understand that the virus is killed by certain spectrum's of UV light and there are special lightbulbs that produce these. Perhaps at your arcade you could set up these lights in front of each game at night to disinfect the coindoor, lockdown bar, flipper buttons etc. I have no idea on how this effects paint and decals as far as fading goes though. Additionally, heat kills the virus so strategically placed space heaters could be used as well.

We use UV-C lights in our air handlers in the manufacture of cannabis. Before the UV-C we have MIRV filters.

In some areas we have UV-C lights in our air ducts. This is actually a cheaper solution. I read an article that COVID was found in the duct work in Wuhan.

These were not installed for the virus but other bio hazards that impact the crop. From what I’ve heard, these lights are hard to come by right now. We also use negative air pressure.
