I'm learning about micro switches I guess...Disaster Drop lever switch is broken so I went to Mouser catalog and ordered a similar switch and chose the one with the least amount of force to actuate. Of course when I get it I instantly feel that it will take too much to actuate it and my first game proved it! So, the switch that came out was a Cherry DA3, today I ordered a couple of generic similar switches from Marco with hopes it has a low force to switch. If not, does anyone know where I would get this switch? The button under the leaf is yellow. The one from Mouser was green, do these colors mean anything?

have you changed and adjusted micro switches before?

through trial, and error you will learn some things.

a) don't over tighten those tiny screws. they pinch the switch internals.

b) try 'rocking' your switch into different postions to see if there is a better position.

c) you may need to slightly bend the metal arm

d) use a ball attached to magnet stick, and maker sure you cannot sneak past the switch.

Thanks Scott, I just didn't realize that these switches actually have different torque ratings. I like your magnet idea and that I will try along with repositioning the switch. As you know the body of the switch moves quite a bit within the holes, I will do your suggestions tomorrow. Thanks!
