Quoted from wellarmed:Hi gang, i have to disassemble a TAF to get it downstairs into a customers cellar .
Question: Is it difficult to get all the harness out of the backbox and so on and remove the
backbox and the playfield?
And put it later on back in its place?
I have never done this in over twenty years.
Thank you
Don't do it unless you absolutely have to.
But, assuming there is no other choice:
Label EVERY single connector, one at a time, as you remove them.
You only need to remove connectors to cables that go from inside the cabinet to the backbox
Drop the cable bundles into the cabinet.
Don't forget to disconnect the ground braid (s).
Remove the backbox wing bolts
Unbolt the 4 bolts that connect the head to the side hinges
Secure the hinges to they don't scratch up the cabinet decals if possible.
Replace the DMD/speaker panel and close the backbox light board and take off the head
Don't drop it.
Move the game and then reverse the process.
(Did I forget anything?)
