After this 20 second multiball times out and the flippers die the game keeps shooting out balls for about 10 more seconds.
Do other DH owners or players have this happen?

No I don't have this issue, but always wondered if there was a bug that prevented one from completing shoot out. Haven't gotten it accomplished in 6 years of owning multiple DH.

Yeah it is tough to complete in 20 seconds.
I will try a new game rom and see if that solves the problem.

Mine stops shooting balls out after 20 seconds. I have the most recent ROM running.

I've seen this happen doesn't happen everytime, seemed like it was when the first couple balls go sdtm.

Do you have a long ball save time (e.g., greater then 20 sec)? I suppose it could be that the ball save is still active after the 20 seconds time for the mode.
