I finally got back to cleaning Black Knight, one of the dirtiest pinball machines I've ever touched, must have a few million games on it. I was just about wigging out trying to get off the black crud and remembered alcohol + melamine foam, cleaned up almost instantly and is looking pretty good.

I always use melamine foam for ball swirls but in this case, just general cleaning, it is just amazing...

I agree, most BK playfields are worn down the middle or the magna saves or both.

Lol. My poor black knight. Still fun to play and I play it almost every day. I need to find a replacement.

Agree on condition comments, after removing the dirt my playfield is not bad at all. It has stickers over the magna-save, I'm afraid to take them off and look, I think I'm going to varathane over them and declare success.

Mine had slight wear up the sword, which is unbelievable as dirty as this game is, the ball must be like sandpaper with all that black dust. The shooter lane looked like it was lined with felt, filthy black and the woodgrain raised, it also cleaned up nicely.

Now on to the upper PF!
