I have not seen an paperwork for this game posted online. Only two examples are known to exist.

Since it's supposed to be a new boardset, I don't even know how similar it was to the System 2 board set found in Superman and Hercules.

I would love to see proof of existence as ForceFlow said only two are known of. Is this one of them or a 3rd machine? How cool would it be to see a 3rd machine!

I'd try loading it in PinMame to see if there is any info about them.

I saw on the ratings page that xTheBlackKnightx wrote about someone who built one and brought it to a show.

The previous owner of all Road Runners was Dan Cramer, former employee of Atari. There are two known examples. The games do exist. Additional backglasses do exist. I don't know if he kept both game prototypes, and the backglass was pulled for the PAGG show for protection in 2016 which I found out later in conversation. Too valuable. Game was functional on testing after being rebuilt with rudimentary original ruleset coding.

I just heard from someone that one of the games is at the Pinball Hall of Fame, but isn't set up.

In case someone is trying to hunt down Dan, it's Kramer with a 'K'.

Yes, you caught my typo in haste.
Dan Kramer can be found on Facebook, and periodically posts there.
He is friends with most older members of the pinball community.
He is still active in the hobby and business, however he is not on PinSide.

The other owner of Atari's Road Runner (and 4x4) is another big Atari collector on the east coast.
