Available on the BAA website!!! I know some were looking for these. Looks like they came available today. Not sure how many they have.

If your cup is smashed to hell I can understand that. Most of them are in good shape, but look like crap because they are all yellowed out.
Quoted from indypinhead:And to think I recently ordered one from overseas....
I'm still looking for a quality Diner at a reasonable price, ideally within driving distance of me here in NC. (I have this fantasy that it might be of interest to my wife. That's probably not a realistic hope, but I'd like to give it a try.) Glad to know the replacement cup is available, because it is quite yellowed in many of the machines I've seen.
Scratch this off the unobtainable parts list for a while.
Now, about that Taxi spinout ramp.....................................
SO glad I jumped. I was on their e-mail list for when it came back into stock, never got the email.
SilverUnicorn is the man.
I heard that BAA is supposed to be reproducing the translight...and maybe even a painted backglass version.
Has anyone heard any updates on this?

Not BAA, but CPR...their was an update a while back about CPR doing a mirrored backglass version of the Diner translite.
I grabbed the last one of these on Friday. I couldn't justify spending $16.00 on those decals though, so I'll make my own. I kinda like the coffee stained cup as well .
My guess is that they didn't remake them but probably found some stock from their run a couple years ago...
Quoted from Craig:I'd be very grateful to hear if anyone spots these again. I missed out this time. Thanks.
$16 was crazy, but for the time it takes to make decals I bit on those as well...

Marco has the Cup handle decal for like $3.00 which is a bit better. I don't see how a strip cost $13.00 to make. Wondering if there was a price mix up at some point

That would make sense, as they sold out quite quickly.

I loaned my NOS translight to Rick at BAA, about 2 months ago. Apparently he had it scanned to repo. I didn't hear when this was going to be completed, nor did he indicate a "painted backglass version". That doesn't mean it won't happen... he didn't say anything to me.

The cup definitely looks used, but it should clean up nicely. Not "coffee stained" at least .
Quoted from Craig:Is it possible to remove the yellowing from an older cup?
It depends. If its nicotine stained then a good scrubbing and some Novus might take it out. If its UV damage its a bit more complicated. I read somewhere that you could use a plastic cleaner that removes UV damage by coating it and letting it sit in the sun. The problem is you have to have an even light on it or else you may get streaking.
it's amazing that cup can cost $60 that costs probably about 30 cents to inject mold. Though with the side-action slides, even a soft tooled mold it probably still cost $20k easily (350 parts just to break even). If only williams could predict the future home used market, they would have run twice as many parts from those molds for future NOS.

A lot of people swear by retrobrite, you can make your own:
My Diner has the "coffee stained" coffee cup as well; however I have never seen a clear one and thought that it came with the coffee stain originally. Can anyone confirm?
Nope, they were clear.

The repo cups are GREAT. My last game that I never should have sold had one, now my current and permanent Diner will. Stoked.

So the one you got from BAA looks used?

Hmm not sure if used or just poor materials. Upon further inspection there are a few foreign particles in the casting . One looks like an animal hair of some sort . oh well its still relatively clear.
The cup. a bit of the cloudy side, but still relatively clear

Something embedded in the plastic. Cannot remove it. Label should hide it though.

Damn. I'd better open mine then.

Guess I should too, LOL. Even still, that's alot better than what I have on mine now.
Thank you.

Looking for one of the repros if anyone has one. Could have sworn BAA had them until a couple of weeks ago but wasn't sure I was getting a Diner.
Hey guys for those who replaced the cup, did you remove the back panel? I unscrewed the cup bracket from the backboard but I don't see any way of pulling it out without removing the back panel first.
