New member request. Is there supposed to be a deflector shield mounted in back of the cash register? If so, mine is missing. Could someone take a pic of it? Just recently picked this up and have it all apart now for a good shop out.

Thanks tstone !, I'll be able to fab that up no problem off your pics. Won't be chrome, but shoot it the right red or something and it will look great.

tstone , think I found my deflector shield for the cash register. Looking through my teardown pics I see this. Also saw it laying on my parts table and new it looked like the part, but knew it wasn't on the cash register. Looks like an old shop out fail.

Any very nice used or NOS Diner translights out there? With the CPR backglasses, there must be a few good used translights to be had. PM me condition and price. Thx
Update...decided this is not worth messing with. Ordered CPR backglass.

Can anyone tell me what the correct metal post should be based on the manual?

I am gonna guess one of the 02-4036 bumper posts with 02-4277-30 spacer post on top of it. See if the spacer post you have is 1 7/8" spacer length.

Your right, looks like they do. I used to buy a few items from them, until the shipping got complicated. There is threads about somebody that re-ships the stuff and gets the price down on the shipping somewhat. Just seems like a PETA to me, so I avoid it. Too bad too, because I was always happy with Pinball Centres' products and service.

Anyone know if these playfield light boards are readily available?

If it's some of the general illumination lights that are giving you grief, I would look at the yellow GI connectors on the interconnect board. (long skinny board on the bottom of the back box. If and of those connectors look toasty, they need to be re-pinned. My Diner had several connectors that had to be replaced on that board. If you see ANY burnt connectors, replace them.

When you first started posting about this, some of your GI were out. Then later when you did the relay swap, you said the GI were dim. Does that mean you gained some ground here? If so, I would closely inspect the connector plug on the PF relay. Maybe slightly burnt or loose? You got some resistance somewhere if they are going on, but too dim. Corroded fuse holder somewhere maybe, but fuses themselves usually either work or are blown.

Anyone know the molex head and pin size for the relay connector?

Pretty sure that would be .156 connectors just like all the board connectors. If you have never done it before, make sure you get a suitable crimper and practice a few times on some scrap wire. Trifurcons are the way to go.
