Hi,
Not bashing but...
Playing in bars in my highschool time during all the eighties, we got brand new games every month (I was and I still live in the city where Gottlieb import company was)... I never noticed any dimple on every game at that time... And the machine were staying between one and two month before changing to another location.
When the StarWars Stern get on the market, I participated to a convention. The machine was just getting out of the box by an operator to sell it during the weekend... The first day of the convention dimples appeared in the middle of the PF. Not one, but numerous ones, until it was covered of impacts like moon craters...
You can say everything you want on the hardness and the quality... Quality is not there anymore... And manufacturers can say everything they want to explain it is something natural (wood will never be as hard as the metal of the pin's ball), facts are there: thinner legs, softer PF, etc... The weight of the machine is an indicator. And cost reduction has always been the rule...
So what did you ever expected?
