Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can measure for me, or knows the dimensions of, a Gottlieb Sys80a Cabinet, with the thin style head, when it is folded down onto the cabinet? (The height of the cabinet)

I have a chance at getting a The Games, and wanted to see if, with the head folded down on the cabinet, my Patriot's or my Crv's cargo area would fit it. I believe that all the games listed below would have the same dimensions.

Super Orbit, Royal Flush Deluxe, Amazon Hunt, Rack 'Em Up!, Ready...Aim...Fire!, Jacks to Open, Alien Star, The Games, El Dorado City of Gold, Touchdown, Ice Fever

I can tell you for sure that it's less than 31" tall. Might be about 26-28".

It's shorter than the folded height of a WPC or system 11.

Well shoot. My patriot is 28in high, and my wife's CRV is 36ish, but she's taking it to Nashville that weekend.

Guess I'll have to rent something, and I'll post back here when I pick up the game with the exact dimensions for internet research in the future.

You could always remove the backbox. I sometimes have to do that for larger games.

Not ideal, but you could transport it on its side as well.

I'm having a problem with my transmission in the patriot also, so my wife is concerned with me driving that far (to expo) with it anyways. It gives me a good reason to rent something.

BTW: How hard is it to remove the backbox?

Disconnect all the connectors in the backbox and feet the harness into the cabinet, then unscrew the screws in the hinges.

However, if I recall, on the game I had, there was no way to disconnect the feature lamps (game over, etc) on the lamp panel, so I had to cut those then later add single pin molex connectors. I think there were 3 or 4 of them.

Aahh ok. I wanted to see if there was something "additional" you had to do like cut connectors, or if it was extremely difficult to remove. I'll probably stick with just leaving the backbox on. With the later Bally's with the fold down heads (newest EBD, etc) I've always been hesitant to take off the head to transport.

I just got delivery of my Rack 'Em Up, and it is 27 1/4 inches at its highest point. Good guess, Forceflow.
