So what's the deal on lock down bars front edges? Is this a Williams thing that changed at some point in the 80's or different vendors supplying them?

I have a pair of SYS 11's that came with them where the front edge dips into the cabinet (And seems more likey to scratch artwork) and most of the WPC eras of machines I've had/or have are flush. My old FH has the front edge dipped one but I know these can be used interchangeably.

My Sys11's (ES, Pinbot), a Sys9 (Sorcerer), and a Sys6 (FP) all have indented lockdown bars. The one on your Gofers looks more like an early 80's Bally bar.

Funny, I happened to notice this same mismatching phenomenon when I was at eye-level with my lockdown bars wrapping presents last weekend. My Phoenix, Blackout, and Jungle Lord all have the indentions, however my F14 doesn't.

Not sure about originality of parts though as jibmums suggested. Maybe one of the Williams historians can comment.

Thanks guys. Yeah, hoping someone knows why. Neither bother me but curious.
