I am trying to figure out whom I bought an ES from last year. The game has a clearcoated pf and I bought it from someone in IL. The seller is not the one that did the work, but someone else.

I am really trying to determine whom did the refurb and clearcoat as I have a few questions as I am now digging into the game to put it in the lineup. A few oddball thinsg that whomever refurbed it could answer.

Sorry, I have searched both emails and PMs but cant seem to find any record of whom I bought the game from.

Thanks if you remember and can refresh my memory.

plus I rely on the gmail/Pinside PMs to remember for me.

I am usually in bed by 10, so drinking at 5pm is too late to start.

I remember all the details about my purchases of my games (and my girlfriend was kind of happily bewildered of that + that I know all the years of release across my 25 games), but now as the beginning purchases get a bit older-in-my-possession I've finally started to write them down and whatnot. There's a good section in Pinside for it under the collection page where you can put the price you paid and other details of the sale - but I stopped early on after deciding I want to keep that all really private. (It's private from users, sorry Pinside staff, I trust you but just personal preference)

I started putting it into a private Google Document. I think I did this a while back just to keep a list of everything but never added many/enough details.

I write down the entire transaction, when, who, where, how much, etc., when buying. There's no way I'd remember over the past 20 years. Hell, I don't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday. The only thing I wish I'd done was keep track of the sales.

While going off topic, someone muct have an idea for whom I bought this from. I want to say his name was possibly Craig. Game was in his basement and I remember it being a not fun move up the stairs. He had probably 10plus games and more of a varied collection (I remember a sys 80b or 2) He also had a wife and I think 2 kids. Nicer suburb outside of Chicago a bit.

I think he may be in one of the chicago leagues?

You're describing me but it wasn't me. My cleared earth shaker went to razerx and is now in Michigan. I have only owned one and I never had a game transaction with you. My game was only at one show (expo).

Just a few oddball things by whomever did the clear and would be nice to track them down to confirm. In particular it has a few things that indicate it may be an early production game, but possible they were done by the person that did the clearcoat also.

That's actually a different ES. I traded for another one from Craig a few years ago and now Kevin D. has it, so both of my former ES's are in MI now.
