The V shape UFO is the one I saw in the 70's, and drinking was not involved. Even my parents were with me at the time and saw it.

One who saw the lights was the Arizona governor but he would not admit it until after he was out of office.

When one or two people claim to have seen a UFO we have a tendency to poo poo them. When hundreds or thousands claim to have seen something it is hard to just pass them all off as idiots.
