Of note from this and other threads, the flipper strength can be adjusted which should fix any issue of not making it up the ramps. I do not think this problem was mentioned at Expo, but I may have missed it. As for the upper right flipper, I believe the thought behind it was that it will act as the wind lance for the dragon shot (not confirmed but speculation from the forums based on the same observation that is appears to serve no purpose).
Time will tell, but wanted to throw that out there for you.
