On my Sharkey's Shootout there's this really cool feature enabling the outlanes and the center drain to be blocked by pressing the 2nd flipper button on each side. Press the right to block the right, the left to block the left and both together to pop up the center drain pop. This is my 1st Stern and I'm not up to speed on the new stuff, so am asking.
Thanks

Hmmm...I've only seen them on British (?) machines which have to have them I think for gaming reasons. LOTR at VFW has them on both outlanes and middle I believe...now that's along playing game

Yep. I got some crazy long ball times using these. Weird at first, but once you get them down, your ball times shoot way up. RS has a center post too that if you press both buttons at the same time, the center post pops up.

It reminds me of a cue stick stopping the ball. I guess with the Stones and Keith Richards they could of shaped it to look like a _______. (fill in the blank)

This is on export games going to England. Some law about games of chance or some such that applied during early stern runs (eg, you can find some Monopoly pins with and the domestic ones without). I wonder if these were placed on all or only on export/reimports for sharkeys?

Unlike the other Stern games of that era, Sharkley's had it on all regions, not just the European ones.
