    I seem to recall Kryptonite coat also as a name for Data East

    Taken from a 1996 RGP post.

    As did, I thought, several later-model Data East games. A couple
    DE games were advertised with their new "Kryptonite-Kote" ... or
    something like that.

    I heard that all playfields get coated at the same place, so all
    manufacturers should be using similar, if not identical, hardcoats
    on their playfields.
