Want to join the Club but im not shure if i take the LE or SE .... Have a very nice offer for an SE.

I have invissible glass and powder coating is also no problem and i dont need the headphone Jack.

Only thing i have to judge is about ramp lights. They look sharp but are they worth the price?

What they the owner of an DI SE? Is the game to dark without the ramp lights?

#1697 6 years ago

The SE comes with Shaker, Playfieldprotector and "JJP-Cliffys" and has only 150 Games on it.

I hope there will come a ramp light mod...

#1702 6 years ago

That was my first thought too.
But now i calculated all and with a ramp mod, blue powder coat and my invissible glass i save about 1,2k for the Houdini. So 1,2k only for 12 ramp lights...

I hoped they would reduce others things like the drones...

Maybe some SE owners can give me a review about the darkness?

I set the Theatermagnet to -95 and no stdm anymore i think if you have the prolem you have to try different settings for the magnet.

#1845 6 years ago

ok... hmm but with changed settings i have not stdms .... so I'm happy - hope the others will find a fix for their DIs

Quoted from PinMonk:

Unneeded on JJP pins.

Quoted from estrader:

On a couple of stern machines I have lollipop rails to product the cabinet art around the flippers, what is everyone using for dialed in?

I use lexan protectors around the buttons.
Nice price and works perfect.

#2638 6 years ago

So it's better to use gameblades instead of mirrorblades ?

Would like to see these in europe....

Can some of the LE owners made one or to pictures how the external Volumen control is connected in the machine? I have to figure out which connector is used.

Thank you very much

Quoted from Nepi23:

I am sure that his has been asked before, but what to do with this post on the left? Ball is often trapped between it and the inlane in my machine. Have you removed it altogether or e.g. replaced it with smaller post? Which is a good replacement post to use?

Hi Marko,

I took that post out and used a little washer for level it with my playfieldprotector and put a little piece mylar over it. And no ball hangers or other problems.
But you have to level the machine correct - and this is a bit tricky... but it helped me also with the "balls bounce over the rampend" problem.
Only thing I have are airballs from the QED-lane up in the ramp and from some targets.

Can you send a picture how the external volume control is connected? I would like to build my own for the SE

#2736 6 years ago

yes i send you a picture. I also used two stripes of mylar to prevent the ball is touching directly the metaledge

#2754 6 years ago

The cracking on scoop-edges could be "normal" - when a steel ball hits the edge it must happen cause this is the weakest part.

I have seen pics of cliffys which were bend. And that is steel.... How should some layers of thin coat prevent this?

I have some mirco playfields in use an seen alot on locations and they looked very - only the scoops looked a bit damaged...

#2790 6 years ago

@nepi: hi Marko here is a picture from what i did

I have the first jjp protectors in my DISE.
Since the mantis protector anouncement I waiting with my decission.

So I hope with the mantis protector the ball will find the way nore often in the phonescoop. Also would like to hear how the mantis is compared to cliffy v2.

Are there any news or updates with the Mantisprotector and how reliable the shot in the phonescoop work?

#3529 6 years ago

So installed a mantis phone scoop protector.
And wow its a difference like night and day.

Now 9/10 direct shots are landig in the scoop and its looks way better then a cliffy.

But Installation was around 30minutes cause working under the playfield is very tricky....

But now i can say the mantis protector is a must

Quoted from JayLar:

On my LE the ball frequently get stuck next to the kick-back, resting on the edge of the opening for the kick-back. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Same Problem here.... Have you installed a protector?

#4213 5 years ago
Quoted from JayLar:

Nope, no protector.

Ok then is thisnnot a playfield protector Problem...
