I bought this game to play temporarily until Godzilla arrives. Holy smokes though I freaking love it. Each shot feels good and it's just a joy to play. I want fun games and this fits that bill perfectly. I don't get the hate for the theme, bunch of followers who listened to podcasts saying the theme and game sucks. Needless to say the plan has changed and Godzilla is now leaving when it arrives

Quoted from TwilightZone:

I'm a new owner and you are in denial if you don't think the theme is a serious miss. I sold a NGG to make space for DI. When they came to pick up the NGG, they asked what I was buying. I said DI, explained the game (saving city from disasters by completing modes being notified by the phone), etc. When I finished one guy looked at me blankly and said "I don't understand the theme...what's Dialed In have to do with that.". I've had a couple of non-pinball buddies over and they also don't get it. Just a major blunder theme/name wise. Dialed In means absolutely nothing to those outside of the pinball community.
Amazing game, but a stupid theme/name. If they named it "Chaos in Quantum City" or something similar it would definitely be more desired. I'm absolutely impressed with the game play, the rules, and layout. It is one of the smoothest games to shoot, but the theme....yikes.

So your beef is with the name? I would agree a better name could have been picked. But as you said, natural disasters destroying the city where you get notified of impending disasters by a phone is really the theme and that is something I can get behind

Quoted from Gogdog:

Ok, so I own both DI and GZ.....you really need to keep both. Godzilla is also fantastic. Maybe...lose GOTG instead? (like you I also have JP prem and LOTR and wouldn't lose those either)...

Thanks for the input. GOTG is already going when it's time for weird al and heist to be delivered. C'est la vie

Replaced the battery yesterday because when I turned the game on I got a boot up error so was worried it was due to battery. Anyway, I found it quite simple. Removed the video card first and used some dental picks I had to easily get it out. You should be able to pick up cheap dental picks at harbor freight

Quoted from Green-Machine:

What’s the point in removing video card?

You'll see if/when you ever replace the battery. It's right beside the battery and has an exposed fan. Makes it more challenging than it needs to be

Quoted from Jamwin:

Gameplay question, I’m going through disasters with multiballs sprinkled in then get to chaos on quantum city. Is this the general flow or is there something I am missing? How are y’all attacking gameplay? This is a fairly new addition to my lineup so still figuring out how to navigate. Unlike, Wonka for example, where you can stack mini modes(super spinner, etc..) I’m failing to see what to stack and best way to play. Thanks in advance.

The biggest stacking opportunity is to bring sim cards in to modes. So try to collect those sim cards before starting a new mode. Also you can skip multiball after you lock the second ball by hammering on the flippers (watch the phone screen for the cue)

Quoted from adol75:

What's the phone screen cue ? I didn't know you could skip multiball. And if you skip how do you get multiball after that ?

I think it's after you lock your second ball the phone will say shoot phone for multiball and then in small text say press flippers twice to cancel. So you can then start a mode and the phone will be lit to start multiball. Allows you to make progress on a mode during multiball. Give it a try next time you play

Quoted from podolj:

I have always had issues with the "Start" button on my Dialed In. If I try to push the "Start" button on my machine, the other end comes out( see pics). I have taken pictures, I am just not sure if I am missing a part or need to replace one. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like the switch has sperated from the light socket portion. See that red button on the switch? That's what registers the start game. Try to snap those pieces back together. Then I assume the start button twists in to the socket
