Hi, just picked up a Dialed In ..love it!

A few questions though..

1) I am used to pushing the back leg levelers all the way up and then adjusting down. This game I have a legs all the way down and it's still above the third bubble line when it should be at 2...so I need the actually raise the front?

2) maybe because I am not level so I got a ball stuck at upper level. But looking at the protector, looks like a real ball trap...is this how the clear plastic piece is supposed to look? Thanks!!

Thanks Lloyd,

Might you know what to do about this? Got the kickback for first time during multiball and noticed the ball sitting...upon further review the coil is beyond the apron. Trying to take off the apron but the coil has it wedged in there tight so after screws come off you can't slide the apron up...any ideas? I am afraid to force it and scrape the playfield...tx

Thanks again...was able to work it off, loosen and adjust bracket to straighten it out...but when I try to put the apron back on it doesn't slide back on without forcing..and the bracket doesn't have more play to push it back.

So looks like when the apron is screwed back on it will crush the corner of the coil and probably that's why when it fired it squeezed out in front of the apron.

Is the apron supposed to be hard pressed against the coil? If not, looks like I can't screw the left side all the way back together or I need to make the notch in the playfield a little bigger so I can slide back the bracket about 1/32" - 1/16" ... Ug.

Got it all back together and the kick back is working for now but it seems like the apron is too far back or the kickback bracket is too far forward because I have to really force it.

Does this look correct and you are supposed to see the wood or is the apron supposed to be further up?

So has anything happen with dialed in during the past 6 months? With Wonka being off my list I was thinking about revisiting DI....

I was in the same boat. Looking to get a new pin...went from Munsters to Wonka and both had issues for me...so I "settled" on DI. Best NIB purchase I ever made. It's funny, I played the game at shows and it always flipped well but I could not get the theme integration and I was missing a lot with sound drowned out at shows.

This game is literally "dialed in" and polished in every way. Aside from the weird art decision to put a no emotion dude with the phone in his hand I really like everything about it. Has that Lawler flow, feel, humor and the build quality is amazing. Fun, fully developed game....and it looks so much better in person than in pics.

Well, should have read through this thread first...
Updated my game to current from 1.60. The video lag is terrible. I don't notice anything with the coils though. The video definitely did improve when I removed the Bluetooth dongle.
What has everyone been doing in regards to opening tickets with JJP? Should I get a service ticket created. Pretty bummed if my CPU just can't handle the new code...
Brian

I am considering whether or not I should wait on the upgrade...do you mean when Bluetooth is removed it solved the lag issue or it is just not as bad? I don't think I will ever use the app so that would be something I would try if it fixed the issue people are having...thanks.

Question - anyone decapitate a dialed in? I need to move it and it weighs a ton. Hobbit was not too bad but I know the CPU is in the head now...would it be easier? Harder? Anyone post a step by step yet? Thanks

And other boards.
LTG : )

So is there any secret to removing the head ( are there major disconnects in the harness for example) or do I just have to remove all the connectors in the head like I would a WMS game?

I just thought my Hobbit was fairly simple to pull out the playfield and a shame if DI is not easy.

Quoted from nettek:

I did it when I brought my DI home - it's not too hard, and yes, it's similar to a WPC game. Just take lots of photos.

Thanks

See the two black plastic tubes from the lower cabinet into the head ? Unplug all that shit. Take notes, plenty of pictures. Even mark them.
LTG : )

Lol..thanks. was hoping I was missing something.

For the record, I thought the Hobbit was a move in the right direction. We are all getting older and moving these heavy games is getting dangerous, adding a connector in the middle of the harness would be welcome addition. After moving a JJP game around moving a Stern is like bag of groceries..

Hello all. Been a while but about a year or so ago there was an update that was making the cell phone video glitch and people with older CPUs were updating them to get back to smooth video.

I simply didn't update software thinking a fix would come out. Did one?

So question is, is it safe to update to latest software for older games? If not, how do I figure out if I have an old or newer cpu (what version is safe?) Thanks.
