What broke? The lightening bolt? That part is available on the JJP site
Quoted from iamabearsfan:So I bought a DI for our office. Of course people play it now and then during the day. Is there any aftermarket solution for adding a headphone jack and volume switch to a DI?
Thought I would update everyone here on this request. I ended up buying the following from JJP to get this working:
Qty 1
99-030009-00
Cabinet Headphone Jack Assy
$43.99

Got a new GC last night. 1.5 million. Wow that sounds pathetic. What kinds of scores are people putting up on this thing?

I think my best is around 3m. The GC score on mine is by the original owner, 5m. I’ve been looking at his mug for 2 years and I can’t seem to best that score. Even my 3m felt like a Herculean achievement.

Phew, now I don't feel so bad The psychological effect of just one more zero would have been improvement. Was there a point to the low scoring? I just have to imagine more zeros.

My theory is Dialed In is a dystopian nightmare where we are distracted by our phones and emojis multiplying everywhere and busy taking selfies while the world is destroyed by disasters. Maybe it’s not a theory - it’s just exactly what Dialed In is about. Even the “Trust Us” thing is about “big brother” control and paranoia. So maybe Lawlor and co. thought it would be funny if the scoring was maddeningly low. No matter what you do, you can’t score enough to win.

1 is "usual"
in the 5 is good
and finishing the game would put you around 10

Glad I could help!
I'm considering connecting a sub woofer to the game, but not 100% sure it needs it. sound is already really good

It needs one imo. Connected the good ol Polk and it sounds much better. JJPs lack rich bass

Yup sounds better with the Polk
Hi Folks, I got an LE in April, and put about 1,000 games on it, but now the Bob trap door keeps popping up throughout play. I never had an issue with the subway or anything, but it seems like the switch is continually firing the coil to pop up the door, and then the door drops and it does it again. Anybody had this specific issue and know what the solution would be? Thanks!

How did you attach your Polk?
Quoted from Pinkitten:How did you attach your Polk?
Connected to the speaker in the lower cabinet.

alligator clips to the sub inside. Big diff.
I updated to the latest s/w finally, been lazy.
So now it seems that the theatre magnet hold drops SDTM. Anyway to make it throw the ball up into the theatre all the time? It's so frustrating. Or is there another way to fix the ball from dropping right down the middle without disabling the magnet altogether? This is what drove me nuts on TWD.

Same thing happened to me. I had to tweak the theater magnet settings. Now it pulses correctly and throws the ball around. Most of the time. Still the random drop down the middle for no apparent reason.

Remember it's coded that way in a lot of modes/events

How did you tweak it? I saw 3 settings for the magnet, normal, disabled and another I don't recall but it did nothing different.
Quoted from TheLaw:Remember it's coded that way in a lot of modes/events
I time a good shove, just enough to get a warning not a tilt and sometimes i can divert it. Otherwise I just swear out loud.
Quoted from TheLaw:Remember it's coded that way in a lot of modes/events
Yes, but usually QED will move back and forth to block it. Is the behavior documented anywhere?

Let me go fire it up and look. I'll update this post shortly...

Quoted from PinMonk:It's in the tests under theatre test, not the game settings (for some strange reason). Start at -90 and go down (bigger negative number) from there.

Awesome thanks.
I know the ball doesn't always get thrown back into the theatre so that does seem to be coded that way. Not sure what triggers the throw and what triggers just a drop.

TheLaw already answered but here are my settings.

I had a problem with the mylar being blistered on the magnet. The ball would hang up in the theater. I removed the mylar over the magnet and now the ball drops SDTM unless it happens to hit the QED. However, I've noticed on the EMP mode the ball always drops to the left flipper. I'm not sure why it's different on that mode.
Quoted from Photopin:I removed the mylar over the magnet and now the ball drops SDTM unless it happens to hit the QED.
Yes the magent setting needs to be readjusted after cutting the mylar
Trap door is driving me nuts. It will only catch about half of the time. I've been messing with the latch but can't seem to make any progress.

Did you follow the key post on it at all? Could be some info in there that helps

Thanks for all the tips guys.
Here’s a new one. My phone LCD shuts off once in a while. No pattern here. Stays off until I reboot then it works again. Lights around the phone are on just the display completely shuts off.
Anyone else experience this?
Quoted from Kingpin22:That was happening to me. I replaced the small screen with the board .now back to normal
Did you get it from JJP or AliExpress. I heard they may carry the boards as well.

is this the board for the phone?

Did you replace the LCD as well or just the driver board?

Comet Pinball has lots of colors of star post LEDs too. And I always wrap a small piece of electrical tape around the exposed circuitry at the base. These can short out if touched to metal while powered on. They are useful for doing mods like lighting scoops or dark areas because they are flat and easy to stick in place with some 2-sided tape.

I was going to update from 1.75 to 2.01 today, but now I might just leave it at 1.75 . nothing really needed in the updated s/w, although the end game with left flipper looks useful.
