The price is indeed a problem. Probably more psychological however since we're getting trained to accept these constant pricing "bumps" from Stern also. Like the frog sitting in a pot as the water heats up to a boil.
With that in mind if it were even $8499 that might have gone down better. After all JJP is known for supposedly using better quality components and better build quality... and has the upscale price to go with it. So people expect to pay more - but 9k right out of the gate
is the definition of "sticker shock".
