I can't believe I'm jumping in on this, but here goes -
I am 38, I have 3 games and have travelled around the area (I live in the midatlantic) for months lately trying new barcades/pin museums, etc.
I have seen a *huge* resurgence in interest from people who live around here - almost ALL of which are in their 20s. People find out I am into pins (and fixing them) and they go NUTS and tell me their favorite games, or local haunts via the pinmap. ]
The group isn't huge or anything, maybe a couple hundred (really no idea) but they are into the hobby and the HAVE the money. Or at least a credit card - and are willing to spend it. With the advent of PayPal and a high credit limit, one can essentially get a big ass personal loan that was impossible in years past, making high dollar used games easy to buy. These are the same hipsters that are into vinyl records and the like. What's fascinating to me about this is that it is apparently happening most in the big cities - and *not* really the midwest.
As a sidebar, while IMO it's impossible to argue that the younger generations love their phones, they (at least the hipsters) are MUCH less to admit to it. I'm curious how that will come into play.
