Quoted from bigd1979:

Man pinside is a miserable place to be anymore..... so many people that sld be happy for new pins and technology advancements but nothing any company does will ever be good enough.... its a real shame that a fun hobby and great site has to be so negative.... its a freaking toy ....

It's a freaking toy that costs $9500.00 shipped. I think that is just one source of the negativity that you complain about when it comes to this pin.

Quoted from kpg:

The more videos I watch the better the game looks to me.. definitely way more interesting to me then some 1966 rehash of Batman.. the world has enough Batman pinball machines already

Fine. I'm not inviting you over to play my BM66!

Quoted from kpg:

Well in that case, I really like Batman 66! It seems like a kick ass game!

What're some of the best features?

Red and Ted.

Quoted from ryanwanger:

In both presentations, Jack promised "code complete" when the game ships.

That would be impressive. He couldn't come close to saying that about Hobbit, and that pin was in development forever (plus one day).

Quoted from Whysnow:

I still like Dialed In as a name the best.
I think it fits the game, theme, and design perfectly.

I completely agree.

If anything, seeing all the alternative proposed names only confirms this.

Quoted from DCFAN:

Quantum City Chaos was from me last Sunday. I do still feel that name provides a better description of the theme and how a lot is happening in this fictional futuristic city setting.

Meh.

Too much of a mouthful for starters..

Quoted from DCFAN:

No more of a mouthful than Tales of the Arabian Nights, The Walking Dead, The Wizard of Oz, Attack from Mars, Lord of the Rings, etc.

Yeah, actually, it is for most of them.

But that's not the comparison. The comparison is "Dialed In"

Quoted from kpg:

Also, the standard version at $8K is dumb. I want the lit ramps, invisiglass, etc.. spending $8K for their "barebones" model isnt what I want, and many others as well. Give me the LE at $8200 INCLUDING shipping, and we'll talk. Not a penny more or i'll simply wait for the second hand market, which will contain playfield fixes and redesigns- just like what happened with WOZ and TH.

Exactly.

I know that you can get a NIB Hobbit LE for $8100.00 shipped. Zero reason that they shouldn't be able to do the same with DILE. And who knows, after the pin has been shipping for a few months, this might be exactly where the price winds up, maybe a couple hundred more?

Quoted from dgarrett:

I'm surprised about all the price posts still happening here.

Since you are so surprised by it, let me help continue your surprise:

The price sucks.

Want to know what I'm surprised about? The fact that there are people who have the attitude that we should actually be thankful that JJP and others are offering these pins to us, despite what they cost and the fact that the prices keep going up.

If you say so.
