Gary has said many times one of the reasons he won't do un-licensed is that distributors would say "send me 2 to test". This is exactly the situation we're in, this game will need to be played by people because the theme does not sell itself.

Can JJP handle a "sleeper" game, that won't have huge front loaded sales. That will be the challenge.

Quoted from Whysnow:

I am not sure what to say but this is really a case of some people should probably just stop typing till they play it and experience it for themselves.

This is the exact challenge of unlicensed games... any of them. They need to be played. There is no built-in market for them. If JJP can manage this game as a "sleeper" and not expect heavy front-loaded sales, then it might work out.

I'd suggest they get demo units to every distributor asap. Demos to every show. Just get it out there.

Quoted from PanzerFreak:

Agreed 100%. JJP needed to reveal the game better with some more showmanship. A trailer would have been perfect to have explained the game and it's theme, then the trailer could have been uploaded to YouTube to explain it to others.
"From the pinball designer who has brought you greats such as Addams Family and Twilight Zone comes the next generation of pinball, Dialed In" - insert movie guy voice.

Of anything, this is what I think could have helped most. A proper introduction. Just imagine instead of 40 minutes of pre-amble talk, there was a 5 minute sizzle reel introducing the game and key features.

There was a second JJP seminar the next night, that would have been the forum to address the little stuff. Basically unleash the video, pull the curtain, and then invite everyone to come play it. All the energy in the room would have been harnessed into that moment, and I think the initial response and outcome would have been a lot different.

Just my opinion, of course .

Quoted from luvthatapex2:

The idea of disasters hitting the city and the player trying to avert them or deal with them is clever.

What you just wrote there sounds like a fun game.

Maybe they can tweak the package.
