I have a Devil's Dare drop target that doesn't stay up after a reset.
It's the front bank, leftmost target.

symptoms:

1. it pops back down right after a reset
2. once the other 4 targets are down the bank doesn't reset until the ball is over

what I've done:

1. checked the 5 switches
2. used a clean dollar bill on all 5 switches
3. checked that the switch closes when the drop target drops

Any ideas?

yes.

Seems fine. I can reset it by hand.

Perhaps I should clean the edge that catches, perhaps it got a touch of wax under it?

So the question is -- what can cause the drop to swing up in that bizarre arch like that?

Thank you for all the great ideas... I forgot to check them last night, and just tried one thing:

1. added two washers underneath the flipper side of the drop target bank, changing the angle of the system 3°

Works 100% of the time now... And probably reduces airballs too (if there were any)
