Quoted from PennSkier:Thanks EMsInKC - Yes - I am hoping to hear a few of those that people own and that are "keepers" - my recent purchase of 1964 Gottlieb World Fair is fueling some of this (I love it!) - though on this mission I am specifically looking for recommendations other than Gottliebs - owning 4 Gottlieb EMs already.
Now, don't go all affirmative action on this! If you want, say, the six games that you enjoy the most, go get the six games you enjoy the most, regardless their ethnicity
Any time you are selecting (or discarding) games based on who made them, I think you are, by definition, leaving better games (or games you like better) on the sidelines. There is, for example, a bunch of good reasons why Gottlieb dominated pinball for 30 years starting in 1948.
Also, there is something to be said for having a collection with fewer manufacturers...you'll need a smaller parts stash, you won't have to go to two or three or more schematic languages, etc. And if you stick with Gottliebs, you won't ever need a phillips screwdriver
