Thanks for posting Vid, I was looking to buy a desoldering station...Initially I jumped at this deal too, but I thought it was the Aoyue model in your picture, there is a lot of people who bought that model and recommended it. This one is 99 bucks compared to the 130-140 bucks Aoyue but looks a little cheaper.

I was contemplating buying a desoldering gun for a while but never got around to it and reading this thread just made me pull the trigger. I bought what I bought as a personal choice, I have snap-on and Mac stuff from 25 years ago so I decided to get the Hakko because I figured it's a 120 bucks extra for something I may have 20 years from now so what the heck. YMMW.
