    Lots of other forums utilize this and it is cool for building a community.
    Often a small Bday cake attaches to your profiel avatar on yoru Bday (assuming you have it in your profile).

    Life is too short, Bdays are cool, little things are worth celebrating with our online friends.

    Just a thought.

    dad died a few years ago. We dont do Bdays in my family either way.

    Just figured it would be cool to have the little things in life shared in the online family also.

    I think a lot of users would have a cake icon on January 1st

    Call me paranoid, but I don't like my birthday being publicly available info. Too easy for someone to start phishing and hacking other accounts with personal info like that.

    Yea, I have no problem using any other date than my actual birthday personally.

    A cake day is different than a birthday, FYI.

    Cakeday - date you joined the site, not your actual birthday.

    Nice thought but reminding people of your birthday is a cry for attention and it is about as meaningful as... (See great video which sums it up below)
