Quoted from joekiss:

I had the CPU completely serviced and checked. I have switched with 2 other CPUs and have the same problem. The DM CPU works fine in 2 other games. All connections have been verified from the backside of the CPU to the last switch on the PF. The problem has to be somewhere else.

You're ignoring questions from some incredibly experienced Pinsiders. Please provide the pictures that terryb asked for so folks can take a look. Otherwise, you're not going to get very far.

Quoted from joekiss:

As ive said before Ive switched with STTNG and JD. I put the above pictured CPU in both of those games and both worked 110%. I put both of their CPUs in DM and it did the same thing. I replaced the connectors and haven't snipped the wires cause I do a continuity check over and over with my DMM. Much easier to do with a little wire sticking out on top. Again Ive tested from the back of the CPU to the last switch and all connections are good. Every switch registers perfect in a switch test.

But the wire sticking out on top isn't your contact point. The connector housings are where you need to measure continuity.

Terry asked for specific up close pictures of the connectors. Please provide those.

You have rules out everything but connectors and wiring. Focus there.

They make great test points esp when testing from the solder points on the back of the CPU. Ive tested every one from the solder to the actual wire then from the wire to the last switch. All are 100%.

We are all here to help but you're not making it easy or enjoyable to help you. You have a problem and are fighting with a whole bunch of experienced advice. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me. You have narrowed enough things down that this clearly points to a connector issue. Dump the IDC. Get a crimper, and crimp pins with new housings.

Those connectors look awful. Get a crimper, crimp trifurcon Molex and call it a day.

Yes thats the original. All stickers match. How do i test to make sure i have a good connection? There is nothing else that has anything to do with a problem like this?

You have eliminated the MPU as a variable.

Stop and fix the connectors. Stop letting everyone else distract you

I hate to keep asking but how can I test to see if these connectors are working? Im using a DMM on the continuity setting going from the rear of the CPU to the last switch. can I use a different setting?

Yes. Set you DMM to OFF. Go and buy a crimper, pins and housing and re-crimp with fresh pins.

Seriously, this is the last time I am going to say this. Fix your connectors. Stop testing them. Just do the work that MULTIPLE people are telling you to do.

Got ya. When they are replaced how can I test them to make sure they have connectivity? Ive ordered them will take a couple of days to get here. When I replace them I would like to know how to make sure how to test to see if I have a good connection.

Your machine is going to start working. Best test I can imagine.
