Why would they have used the disconnect for one wire then soldered on the other wire?
The disconnect is for fast toubleshooting switch matrix problems, but only meant to last for five years.

There is no way those IDC connectors can all work correctly.
Get some crimp on pins...as has been suggested over and over above.
