Hello to all!

So I finally was able to get my hands on a DemoMan (in parts) and I'm trying to put the ramps/playfield together, I've read that there's only one way on how you should put the ramps back (their order) can someone be kind enough to point me on how to make this, I tried but I'm sure I wasn't make it correctly.

Thanks in advance!

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

You will want to check out pages 1-43 to 1-45 in the game manual.
If you don't have a hard copy, it starts on page 53 of the pdf:
http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/662/Williams_1994_Demolition_Man_Operations_Manual_English_OCR_searchable.pdf
Just reverse the sequence to reassemble!
(Could you maybe make the measurement I asked for two posts back in return?)

Thanks! I do have the manual, but because I got this machine disassembled, I'm looking more for a visual guide, like on which holes should I go through for the switches, which ramp goes above what, etc.

As for the measurement, sure! Is it this what you are looking for? (attached)

TIA!

So... I (finally) have my first DM, woohoo! while playing without the glass (testing switches) I noticed on how loud is the sound every time the ball gets into the "computer" (or tunnel) is there a way to muffle the sound? I know that with the glass on the sound is minimized, but also, I think that having some type of dampening material will also absorb a bit the force of the ball getting into, keeping the welding spots of the "tunnel" for a bit longer.

Does it make sense?

Thanks to all!

Question... I'm putting together a Demolition Man that was neglected for years, among the pieces I'm replacing, I need to to replace the eyeball, the current one is completely dry, any leads of who can have one on stock? the usual suspects don't have any.

Thanks for your input!

I can't find a pic of it, I may be confused with sttng.

Thanks...! nope, the one you are referring is a rectangular-shape that sits above the "car chase" tunnel, I have that one installed. Still, no idea where this one fits.

Thanks again!

Quoted from zacaj:

I can't turn much by hand. Do you know which way 'right' and 'left' are? (clockwise?) I was able to get it just at the edge with lot of work, and when I selected 'move right' (which I thought would bring it counter-clockwise towards the elevator) it moved the other way a bit and then it was back out of range! Wondering if my controller board might have an issue if it's going backwards.

Are you using the sabe board or a new one? I had the same issue with a new board, opto sensors were smaller than the originals. I had to put the board closer to the cams by using thin washers, problem fixed.

Hey guys! So something odd is happening with my DM (sigh) once in a while a ball will fall into the elevator, the claw will move to grab the ball, the magnet will pick up the ball from the elevator but I cannot move the claw using the triggers, the timer will time out, the magnet will drop back the ball into the elevator shaft and nothing. the machine will go into "ball search" but the claw nor the elevator will move. the DMD will be stuck on the "use the triggers to move the claw" with 0 seconds left. I have to turn off and on the machine for the elevator to push out the ball. During tests, the claw and elevator runs fine, left-right-up-down, no errors.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Seems to me that in this forum the answer is usually optos, optos, and optos. Oh wait, maybe that was the Judge Dredd forum...!?

If optos... from the elevator?
