Yup, there is a complete re-code available for free, although i highly suggest supporting James with a donation if you like it:

Why not a small LCD screen in the apron, hook up a PI or a Mini SNES and have it playable via a wireless controller? I believe that would be a first

I think that translite is the best of what I've seen yet. Really like it.

Hi Guys. For the first time in the 3 years i have owned the machine, the claw is acting up.

Can anybody tell me where to start based on this description:

Most of the time everything works just as it should in game. But every once in a while, the claw just doesn't move over to the elevator to pick up the ball. The DMD shows the claw instruction, but everything just sits idle for a while, until ball search kicks in. When that happens, the claw swings to the elevator, the elevator goes up, the claw grabs the ball, and swings it out to the left most exit (Acmag), but without rewarding the mode.

Could it be that the ball isn't detected correctly lying on the elevator or something? As the DMD shows the claw instructions, i suppose tha machine knows the ball should be present. ANd since the claw works as soon as ball search kicks in, i don't suppose it's a claw problem as such?

Hope someone has some input

Quoted from Tomass:

Mine did this. I cleaned the optos and tested them. Replaced 1 and then repinned all the connectors. Also my base plate needed bent a touch under the claw motor so the tabs were fully into the opto that reads it.
I would start in test mode though and go to claw test. Also test the elevator seeing if it detects it. Make sure the opto that sees the ball in the elevator also works in switch mode.

Thank you for your advice. In test mode everything seems to work just fine. The autorun sequence works, the switches work, and the elevator works.

I think i will have to stop playing the next time it does it, to see if switches is registering correctly, and start there. And if nothing obvious is going on, change the opto and reflow the connectors.

Quoted from trueno92:

Anyone know or also have this rom version?

It could simply be a LED patched ROM. When using the LED patch tool, you are prompted to give it a new version name.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the correct order of the cars on the left side? Mine has the police car at the bottom, and the other one at the top.

But when I look at images of DM machines, I see examples of the police car at the top as well as the bottom.

Thank you for clarifying the car order

I have another question, that maybe you can answer.

I would like to add lighted buttons (blue) to the top of the handles. Is there a writeup somewhere about this? Or does anyone have information about what buttons i need to order that will fit the handles?

Note: i am aware there are finished kits for sale, but as i live in Europe (Denmark) they are way too expensive when VAT and customs fees are added.
