I started a poll a few days ago about rubbers on DM's outlane posts, and almost no one noticed!

Would appreciate some input!

I played a DM in a tournament yesterday, and it seemed like the handles were more in the way of using the normal flipper buttons than on my own DM, which is a sample. Could someone measure the distance from the top edge of the lockdown bar to the bottom edge of the handle assembly on their own DM for me? Thanks in advance!

You will want to check out pages 1-43 to 1-45 in the game manual.

If you don't have a hard copy, it starts on page 53 of the pdf:

Just reverse the sequence to reassemble!

(Could you maybe make the measurement I asked for two posts back in return?)

Quoted from uncle_jose:

As for the measurement, sure! Is it this what you are looking for? (attached)

Yes, exactly. Although looking at the pic, I'm thinking it was just my imagination...

You are supposed to be able to move it back and forth with the handle triggers or the flipper buttons, and drop the ball with either handle button or the launch ball button.

Quoted from Pesmerga:

I think there is a problem with my pinball then..any advice on what to look for? Anyone had the same problem?

The thing to do is to run the claw test as outlined starting on page 1-17 in the manual.

Which is on page 27 of the pdf:

Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Has anyone run into an issue where the elevator come up, the claw grabs the ball and then the claw just sits there until ball search? Is there a sensor that tells the claw that it successfully grabbed the ball? Mine doesn't this on a completey random basis.

Mine did this until I updated the ROMs, I had really old proto ROMs (as it was an actual proto DM, I had to switch out the development WPC-S before the new ROMs would even work) but I imagine samples or early games may have shipped with code that still did that on occasion. There is no such sensor... So if you're not on a later release I'd try that.

Mine always goes to acmag by itself if you let it, but if you push the buttons during that travel you take over.
