Hey everybody!
I've joined the club after picking one up from the MGC!
I've always loved this game and remember playing it at the arcades when it first came out. It's a lot harder than I remember it though.
I've got a few issues with it but thankfully nothing major. The biggest problem is that none of the flashers work but I've got to get a volt meter before I can tackle that.
I've also got some interesting customization ideas so far. I like the things that I own to be unique so I'm thinking about putting blue or yellow bulb caps underneath the center ramp. Anybody tried anything like that? Does it look cool? I think the red underneath gives the machine a little too much red. I just can't decide which color to go with. I'd also like to get white legs and trim for it too. That'll be down the line a ways though if it's available. I've seen a few decks that have had the colored legs/trim. It looks pretty sweet.
It's a great feeling to have this machine. My other pin is a Gottlieb Genesis and to have something that plays more like modern machines (even though it's almost 20 years old already) is really going to help with my overall gameplay, I hope. Genesis is nice, but it's not as fast paced as the machines today. Don't get me wrong, that's my first pinball machine and I will love it forever. DM is the icing on the cake though.
I'll leave ya'll with a quick question, considering I see no better place to post this than here. One of my problems with the way the pf is designed is that the demolition time/computer sign blocks the view of the leftmost rollover lane. Has anybody come up with anything for that? Is there a way to move it just a little so it doesn't obstruct the view? It's a small thing, I know, but it's already kind of annoying.
Anyways,
Thanks everybody. It feels good to be a part of the club!
