I had a similar problem where the claw would not go far enough to the left to drop the ball in the last hole. The claw would not work at all 25% of the time and would go into ball search. I found the connection on the opto board below the playfield was flaky as well as the part that runs through the Opto was a little off. Take a look there if you still have the problem
