Quoted from CUJO:

I too have the ball launch issue. I get about 80% success of it making it to the top. It usually hammers the left rubbered post as it drops of the beveled SS dropoff. Main problem I see is the wooden grooved lane guide is to short and once it hits the transition flap, there is nothing to keep the ball centered for the next 14" or so. Look at all the newer games like Metallica. They have a forked tongue SS guide that helps to keep the launched ball centered much further up the shooter lane. I have emailed Cliffy at the suggestion of another RPGer about making a SS shooter lane ball guide about 6 months ago. I followed up with another email about a month ago and got no reply.

Let me know if anything comes of the Cliffy solution. I try to ignore it, but when I'm counting on the ball to go around and set me up for a underground jackpot, and it makes that stupid clanging sound and falls through the MTL's, I die a little inside.

I just waxed the shooter lane, metal ramp, the spot where the ball lands, and the right orbit. This greatly increased the percentage of times the ball makes it around. It went from pretty damn near 50% to 90%+. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

what u all got for backbox GI ? thks

I have cointaker superbrights in the back box. It's a mix of blue and cool white. They do flicker quite a bit in attract mode.

Does anyone else have trouble hitting the right ramp consistently? It doesn't seem like it would be a hard shot, but sometimes I just can't make it.

Btw. Here's mine full of cointakers.image-963.jpgimage-963.jpg

It's #1 ramp, and of course even in the parts list on IPDB it is not showing.

Does Cliffy make them?
