That's what I was trying to tell these people..lol

Back to my original question, what are peoples opinions on cool white vs sunlight vs warm white for the GI on this pin?

Because of the blues and blacks, I am leaning towards cool white.

I agree on the cool white. If it was a game like Indiana Jones I would go the other way.

I have only done the back box so far.

I’d also consider Comet Ice Blue 2 SMD’s It’s subtle and goes great with the playfield and theme IMO, while providing plenty of light.

#2754 72 days ago

woah those are some cool crackling effects on that translite. Is this a repro or that mirrored backglass i have read about in EU?

#2755 72 days ago

I tried cool white on the play field and it was to bright for me. I ended up switching most to ice blue. If you want to stick with white, I’d pick the dimmer sunlight bulb.

Does anyone have a spare of the plastic to the left of the Acmag ramp?

Wrong car?

#2764 60 days ago

no the car on top is a RC car I built awhile ago. my plan was to put the olds in a case with some flashers for the hot wheels cars thing
i was not expecting the box for the olds also. I guess the stickers are not put on also.

I’m approaching 200 games on Demo Man and I cannot believe how under rated this game is. The unique ramps, combo-able shots, the crane, triggers, and sounds are all exactly what I’m looking for out of a 90’s game in my collection. So far my only gripes are the shots might be too forgiving, and the code a little too generous with the EBs.

DM is not the greatest dmd game, but it certainly is a great compliment to in a lineup of lcd games.

Totally agree. Great build quality also. I am shopping mine out right now.
Amazing the quality of these old games compared to new Sterns.

I expect a lot more compliments to be handed out to dmd and earlier games as so many jumped two feet into the hobby with the lcd game generation.

I was just listening to a podcast about bond60th and the guys were excited because a multiball restart feature was being reintroduced.... this was a staple of de gsmes i thought...

It’s possible. Once my comet/titan/PBL orders arrive, it’s going to receive a deep topside shop (incl replacing that rubber)

#2772 52 days ago

Plastic piece needed.

While doing my shop out I noticed my machine is missing this plastic. Looking for new or used.
Thanks,

Hi all, have a demo man and the right slingshot switches stopped working. Every other switch nearby works and I can't see any physical issues like a broken wire. Can someone give me ideas on how and what to check next? TIA!

Make sure the gap isn’t too close on those switches.

Thanks checked that seemed ok but I cleaned the contacts and now it's working again. Solved.

Agree, DM is so under-rated. I absolutely love mine and will never sell it.

Reading the rulesheet, there is a lot of subtleties to the scoring and jackpots. I think the game gets a bad wrap with the "always pick lock freeze" strategy. The new updated code takes that away and makes you play more of the game, while also introducing strategy to the claw.

Had not seen anyone mention this (could have missed it) but the official 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlas 442 W-30 "FAST BLAST" Mattel toy from the movie is a convertible... The car in the movie was a hard top... I was considering one of these as a topper but now that I realize this, despite it being the official toy from the movie it is just wrong.

fastblast442 (resized).png

I finally found the correct car but only 150 of them were made.
