Quoted from trueno92:Hmm, there should be a bolt that sticks out from the left side of the center gate chute. Usually the wire gate can jam on it and stay open or the gate can br improved and recreated from piano wire.
Okay i will check that out, thanks for responding
Quoted from gweempose:Mine does this occasionally. It gets stuck up on the bolt. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
Yah its super annoying. I used $1 of piano wire and bent up a new gate that makes that side of the gate more perpendicular. I found it didn't take much to try to bend up the old one and it just. Snapped.
The piano wire works much better
Got tired of not being able to see the M T L lights. So I decided to fix that. That is shrink wrap not tape fyi. I also shoot some hot glue into the key rather than spend a dollar on one. I was hoping the light would disperse more and fill a 2 bay panel. Maybe I will put frosted plastic behind the blue plastic.

It seems like everyone is sold out..
I’m looking as well. Any info to share?
Quoted from Sunskift:I’m looking as well. Any info to share?
I have a good source. Please send me PM in August (I am on Holiday now), and I will collect more info from my contact.
Can anyone tell me the type of bolt used to hold the handles to the cabinet? i.e. thread specification and length.
Thanks in advance!
You may need to take an existing one out and match it up at the store. I would look in the manual too.
Thanks, I started in the manual and could only find the ones that hold the two haves of the handles together. I couldn't find a reference to the screws that hold the handles to the cabinet.
I'll just take one of them to the hardware store and compare to what they have there like you suggest.
Thanks again!
For the record and future reference the screws that hold the handles to the cabinet are #10-32 X 1-1/2" Button Head Security Screws. Thread is the same as the 3/8" screws that hold the two haves of the handles together (conveniently).
Quoted from MotorCityMatt:Where is switch 54, not in the picture in the manual. Got a credit dot on it. Thanks!
Does it even give a description in the report?
Quoted from MotorCityMatt:Where is switch 54, not in the picture in the manual. Got a credit dot on it. Thanks!
Hahaha .. that stupid switch that is not in the manual. I had the same thing and drove me nuts until I found it.
For posterity, since I'm sure others will look for this .... Switch 54 is in front of ACMAG ramp under left plastic. If you look at your manual, switch locations, is kinda between bubble 51 and 55.
C18DACFE-8170-4428-99FA-1312C05EF3EB (resized).jpegI am having strange issues with my elevator hold opto. It works for about 5 min then ot quits. I just put new optos in, anyone have any idea what is going on? Was thinking cold solder on the mpu, but working the connections doesn't seem to change anything.
Reseat cables on the driver board...
Its weird but it worked a few times for a bad elevator.opto error for.me.
Hi! I am new to the club, but I have owned my DM for several years now. I bought it out of a warehouse and it was almost completely stripped. It was missing all of the plastics, boards, cryo-claw, elevator, back glass, car chase, both gantries, and eye-ball area. The handles, side rails and lock-down bar were in horrible condition. It had a big, nasty-looking latch attached to the front, where the coin door used to be. I put her back together, thanks to the generosity of the pinball community. At the time that I acquired the machine, Pinside was non-existent, and finding parts was very challenging. I have added chrome plated: side rails, lock-down bar, gun handles, legs, and hinge brackets. I have a complete new board set, to include: trough boards, opto board, flipper boards, elevator, and cryo-claw. I have also added LEDs and a new dmd.
I would like to find a new playfield, and a new translite. As you may be able to tell from the picture, my playfield is badly faded; please help me find a new one!
I would absolutely love to have the DM Pinball 2000 mod!
I am having an issue with the ball sticking, after release from the cryo-claw. It happens in 2 of the 4 release lanes, where the ramps attach to the plastic. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Me too, but I purposely put The Shadow in between my TZ and DM. My pins are pretty close together. When you have two widebodies next to each other, your hands tend to touch the person's next to you when you flip ...

I hear that...ill be sliding something inbetween TZ and DM for more flipper space

Thanks! I was so disgusted with my Diner that I was not able to mess with anything pinball for a few days. Just tried this and oddly enough it seems to be working.
Sweet, I love easy fixes!! My demo would randomly shut down.
Check ribbon on left sidr of mpu. It sorta worked its own way loose.
Reseat and I'm in business!
Quoted from Madmax541:Where to purchase right plastic ramp?
Is it available anywhere?
Freeplay40 is working on them I believe. Check out his thread and let him know you are interested.
Hi! I think mirror blades would look great on this game, but read in this thread that Cointaker/pinball side mirrors won't fit. Is this true?
Quoted from Crile1:Hi! I think mirror blades would look great on this game, but read in this thread that Cointaker/pinball side mirrors won't fit. Is this true?
Mirror blades fit, i have them on my game. Im not sure if they are pinball side mirror brand, but they seem to be of equal thickness.
Quoted from Tomass:I also shoot some hot glue into the key rather than spend a dollar on one.
hot glue is actually not a bad idea.
not sure where you get keys for a dollar a piece, but they are 15 cents a piece on digikey

I like the idea of hot glue as well those keys stand the connector off the connection a little bit and they not very tight in the connector
Quoted from cocomonkeh:Almost done with this game it has been out of the lineup too long

Nice. I'm getting ready to start my second DM tear down and restore.
So.. The mylar over the inserts for both inlanes has a bubble. Ignore it or try and pull it? I'm afraid to damage the insert text because I can't find decals out there for the repair.
Thoughts?
Quoted from Pinhead306:The mirror blades need extra holes then the normal ones for where your gun handle bolts go through.
I was thinking of doing art blades or carbon fiber vinyl in either light grey or blue.
I just put mirror blades in mine. What a pain in the A$$! Broke a bit enlarging the back holes. Didn't put new ones in where the gun handles are, just used double sided tape for that. But, once done, they look amazing.
WhiskeyTango I had the same issue with one inlane. I used a little heat to pull off the mylar. No damage. I think the playfield being sealed helped
Quoted from Tomass:I may end up with an extra olds 44 if my buddy doesn't take it. Not sure what they go for. Prob less than I paid.

$2.99?? I'll give you $3!
