Can anybody help with this strange issue?
Just replaced batteries on a DM, did a factory reset etc.
When I get a high score the start button wont enter the letter, it just times out after about 30 seconds and I cant save my initials!
Was working fine before battery change, start button obviously OK as I can begin a game.

Perhaps some other switches that shouldn't be pressed are registering confusing the CPU. I'd go into the switch edge test and see. Also, hit the start button and other switches and try to get an idea if anything is triggering 2 presses or if there is anything lit that should not be.
Thanks for the advice, just letting you know somehow the machine sorted itself out without any adjustment - strange
