Quoted from jardine:

I currently have the 5v plug in J120 which should be keeping the resets at bay?!?

More and more, people are finding out this "magic bullet" isn't the "miracle board" everyone proclaimed it to be.

Think of it this way, OP: when you find the issue, now you know how to PROPERLY fix the issue.

The board is great for a quick fix to get through a pinball party/tournament. It is NOT a proper way to fix the issue. Even the creator of the board has come out and said that.

Not dogging you, OP. Just makes me sigh every time I see that board as a "permanent fix".

Quoted from jardine:

All good npo It was recommended to try it originally. Just to see if this would fix the error. Clearly the fact that it reset WITH the daughter board in place meant I needed to do more digging.
I'm trying to work through it as you can see from above. My knowledge is limited however and I guess there's heaps of guys like me who would rather a quick fix than have to remove boards and check solder joints and repin this and look for dry that.
Noobs like me really don't quite know what to look for and it all can become a little over whelming.
I do appreciate the help and I am trying not to be that guy who looks for the quick fix.

Yep, you're learning now. And trust me, I have much to learn too. If you're going to own WPC class of 92 to 98 pins, you HAVE to know how to diagnose things, fix and replace molex connectors, crimping new pins, using a DMM, measuring voltage across a solenoid, how to determine if something is grounded, measuring 5V and 12V where and when, etc.

Trust me, I don't know everything. Thank goodness for Clay's manuals and his videos at Pinball Ninja. Those videos are absolutely AMAZING resources. Inside tip: $20 with him gets you access to his knowledge (videos) for life. It's well worth the price of admission - trust me!

There are NO quick fixes for maintaining these pins. People who want the glory day B/W games must know and learn this stuff. Kudos to you for going through the motions and putting this time in. Some people would just sell the game and move on. You'll get this problem knocked out soon!
