Quoted from StylesBitchly:Peter is now asking for final payment. Got the email this morning. I'm in!
I did not get this email, Peter, please check the list. James (Jamie) Boyd
Peter,
Can you give us an idea of the hardness of this particular clear coat you use? Is it a two part automotive style or equivalent?
Do these play fields dimple over time?
I have used 2 part automotive and that clear is VERY hard, and practically nothing with scratch/break it.
Are others intending to clear over this clear for extra protection?
Peter do you have a recommendation to "bullet proof" this playfield, or leave as is.
Thank you. DHL email says mine is on the way.
Do the dimples require a pre-drill or do we just run the screws right in?
Predrill dimples on both top and bottom of playfield??
Share techniques for predrilling?
Cleanest way to predrill the anti biff (metal guides below the flippers)???
Will swap mine later this year, just wondering the prep others do.
Thanks!
Quoted from Darren_Sisco:Looks like I missed the boat . Time to roll up my sleeves.
If you want a REALLY nice original, let me know. I'll do the playfield swap and my original is VERY nice. Full Mylar, very minimal wear, no to VERY little insert lifting.
Almost hate to get rid of it to be honest, as it's in great shape.
Quoted from vec-tor:F14 ball lost secret:
Fasten a black post to the back wall right where the main launch wire ramp
enters the black vacuum form gate guide system.
The post helps block the ball from falling off the backside
of the wire ramp and into the abyss of the back side of the playfield.
I have never seen this happen. Ever. When/how have you seen this? Something must me missing/broke.
