Is it too late to get in on this?
Quoted from sethbenjamin:Just checked in to this thread - is the preordering still open? Timing is delicate for me...
There was someone trying to get out of their spot, you could contact them: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/f14-tomcat-owners-club-fans-also-welcome/page/40#post-3379164

Peter
Thanks for the update Peter. I'm sure we'll all appreciate your incredible attention detail. No rush, but pictures of progress make the wait more fun.
Hello to all
All the boards are now fully primered, all looks good. We will bring the last bunch of boards to the
printer in an hour. We rechecked all the Films, some tight corners are in that might get very tricky
but we will see once the print is on the go. On Monday we will start printing.
Wish you all a nice weekend

Looks great so far! Keep us updated- I check this thread every day hoping to see something like what you posted today. I'm so impressed by this whole process.
Hi.
Yes, we have also noticed it, it was to late to get it fixed. We will use that board for our F-14. Yesterday we printed
yellow, today we will print orange and if there is enough time, red. Will update once I get back from printing.

Why, why, WHY??? Why can no other boutique playfield manufacturer crank these out with the timeliness and quality that Peter can?
I am so jazzed about this release!
This is the last update for this week. Green has been printed. Next week
on Tuesday we will print the last color, black.
Then the paint needs to rest a couple of days before we can bring them to the paint shop
for clear coating.
Wish all all a nice Weekend

Quoted from xeneize:I would definitely be in, just seems like it's one repro playfield that is never going to happen.
Bazinga!!
Is anyone doing repro plastics with their swap? I'm on the fence. $150 is so damn expensive for some plastic...
Hello to all
We are proud to annouce that we have finished printinghe F-14 Tom Cat playfields.
Yeah, the black has been printed. All work out very nicely.
The blue is more intensive than you can see on the picture,
the picture was taken with flash light.
Tomorrow we will take the playfields to the paint shop, its now clear coat time.

I am, mostly because if i'm spending... $1,000+ on a playfield, is using old faded plastics really the best idea when I can just spend $150 and have it REALLY slick?
Well and i'm missing the slingshot plastics, but that's besides the point! haha.

Yeah, it really seems like a no-brainer. Then again, my ass just clenches at the thought of $150 plastic pieces.
I put new plastics on mine with protectors when I first got it. Makes a big difference, they are much brighter(at least compared to what mine came with). Plus then you have a backup for the sling and aircraft carrier plastics. The clears on mine were kind of yellowed to so that made up my mind. Other option on the clears is of course Dreg's decal kit.
Looks like CPR may start to have a contender.
Third playfield design completed and constructed, correct?
Keep up the good work.

I think it was CPR did a run of plastics I bought a set even though mine were in decent shape but I'm glad I got them now because of the new playfield. I have been making my own plastic protectors to keep them from cracking.
You guy's are lucky the plastic set for F-14 is only $150.00. Some tables like my Sharkey's Shootout are $190.00!
I got a new set of plastics included with the machine when I bought it. It also had a new Pinscore display and translite and decal set. I just used a standard rivet gun to install plastics. Not about to buy a $200.00 rivet press just to install a few smooth faced rivets. They look fine.
