The ramp/ball diverter in my DE Jurassic Park hasn't moved for quite a while. This is the metal curved arm on the upper left ball return ramp that alternates between left and right to direct the ball to either flipper. As of now, it's only to the right flipper, which apparently is its unenergized or dormant state. Wondering what circuit or conditions activate the diverter coil. I ran diagnostics on it and the coil and diverter arm do work when tested, but not during game play. Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Quoted from Shogun00:

If the diverter is working in the coil test, then the computer is not getting the signal to trigger the diverter in the game. I would run a switch test and see if all switches are working.

I did run the switch test, and there were no faulty switches indicated. Just curious what determines when the diverter activates? Is it supposed to be every other cycle? Random? Some other function?

grantopia Now that you mention it, I ran the coil test and watched as the diverter operated. In the switch test mode, I did not see any errors reported, however I did not test any switches individually, as you point out I should have done. I will do that today. Thanks for the advice. If the switches check out, I'd then have to determine what logic causes the switch to operate the diverter.
