Quoted from ForceFlow:In answer to a few recent comments about Kaneda:
You are free to listen to his podcasts on your own, but the reason the podcasts are not welcome here is that they include personal attacks against members of the community, falsehoods about pinside (well beyond simple criticisms), and various comments that cause a lot problems, arguments, and bad blood. This is supposed to be a community, and Kaneda is simply so polarizing and divisive, and that simply leads to a lot of hostility. It's toxic in a lot of ways. So, since it's obviously unhealthy for the community, it doesn't belong here. That's not to say there isn't some good content or interviews in them, but the problems and trail of wreckage it causes far outweighs any benefits here, so we're not going to provide any free advertising for it.
That said, this is not the thread to discuss that topic. If you wish to go into it further, please open a moderator feedback thread or PM Robin. Any further posts about it here will be moderated in an effort to keep the thread from derailing.
Lol
Pretty sure I am attacked personally in the "corn ball" podcast. But I just really don't care.
Quoted from SuperPinball:The numbers that you see on his podcasts represent clicks not individual listeners. So a guy who can only stand him for 2 minutes at a time would click 15 times on average per podcast. It would also fit his personality profile to have bots click his podcast to make it look like he has more listeners. I wouldn't be surprised if he has one 10th of actual listeners that the podcast numbers show.
As for Twipy, anyone can come up with an award, as much as I enjoy TWIP for their news and reporting, I think they cheapen themselves by having such an easily skewed award show that has great potential for biased and incorrect conclusions. Based on the sample size of the votes compared to the number of pinball owners or even pinside for that matter, it would not pass statistical criteria for validity. Here is something to consider. Pinstadium won the TWIPY for best mod and they happen to sponsor TWIP but when you look at this thread's poll it makes you want to re-evaluate the results of the awards.

Best to keep the troll sleeping under a bridge, pinside is a much better place without him.
Same could be said for you.
