As for Twipy, anyone can come up with an award, as much as I enjoy TWIP for their news and reporting, I think they cheapen themselves by having such an easily skewed award show that has great potential for biased and incorrect conclusions. Based on the sample size of the votes compared to the number of pinball owners or even pinside for that matter, it would not pass statistical criteria for validity. Here is something to consider. Pinstadium won the TWIPY for best mod and they happen to sponsor TWIP but when you look at this thread's poll it makes you want to re-evaluate the results of the awards.

In no where in my statement did I accuse them of anything other than to suggest that they do not do those awards because some of their sponsors are nominated, sample sizes are not statistically valid, and the one particular poll actually contradicts the outcome of at least one of the awards. All legitimate contests are typically closed to family, friends, affiliates of any kind and that would include sponsors.
