Sure, it could be airbrushed and clear coated. Personally I would find another LOTR playfield, scan that area and make a decal cut out along the black lines. Clear coat the playfield, install the decal and touch up along the edges if necessary. Then clear coat that sucker in. You will never know it was done!!
