what would make bar and bowling alley owners change their attitude about either cleaning and fixing the pins themselves or calling the operator's would be to show up with like 20 or 30 pin heads and then all ask to talk to the bar or alley owner and say that if their pins were clean and running good they would stay and spend some money. If the owner still blows you off after that just all walk out together and make the owner realize that he just lost the potential profit from not only the pins but the food and drinks he would of sold while everyone was there.
Just my 2 cents.
I have been in many bars and bowling alley's where they just don't care about the arcade and pins because usually they are being maintained by a third party.
It also seems like in smaller areas where I live, the pins and arcade's really do not get much use, so the owners of these establishments seem not to care much because they are making their bread and butter off the bowling, beer and food.
