after various helping comments in my last post im open to other companies than Stern too (i already have Metallica premium, acdc lucy and walking dead premium) and i must hit jackpot because i cant fit more machines in my room.

Jersey jack: Oz .... the theme doesnt kill me but i must recognise that is a piece of art
Dialed in: unknow theme but look nice
hobbit: love the theme but a lot of people say is bad

Attack from mars remake LE or not: a classic game with reneved body... maybe a little old for me (im into pinball only 6 months xD)

Star wars Premium or pro: i REALLY love this theme, looks different of what i have and it seems fast and furious

Guardians OTG prem: i like the theme, maybe a new code will appear

hahaha i have so many options ^^ and i cant see any of them here in Spain thats my curse

Attack From Mars. It’s a classic for a reason; it’s nearly perfect in every way.

I'd get a SW Pro or GOTG Pro. Still alot of pin and good times for $5k ish (or whatever it comes out to overseas) I'm done with the Premium, LE, CE models.

Ignorance is bliss when it comes to the extras.

AFM LE - its a true LE and worth every penny.

starwars pro was a let down, played it last night. save your money!

best advice you can ever get is..... Don't buy anything you havn't played at least 50 times. Might be difficult to do, but they are around. Hunt them down, play them. Buy what you play and like.

Just got our Attack From Mars LE yesterday.
This game is so much better looking then the original.
And it plays like a dream.
We had the same choices as you and stuck with our order on AFM.
So glad we did.

AFM is timeless

Sing Along is a real nice Christmas pin.

Out of this list I would go with Dialed In. Lawlor provides a nice contrast to the Ritchie, Borg pins in your collection.

AfmrLE while you can still get one new. A timeless classic with modern enhancements. As good as pinball gets, in my opinion.

AFM is great but Dialed In is a much stronger game for a home lineup...so much more going on, far superior tech, fantastic Lawlor design, its the best game on your list.

The "modern enhancements" to AFM outside of the DMD (which is really cool!) suck....the LED panel in lieu of a real strobe like the original is a travesty. The LED lighting is way to intense under the inserts and totally washes out the playfield. An original AFM with a nice LED job looks 10 times better than the lighting package on the remake.

Why do most of the suggestions have to be the most modern and most expensive?

That's what op is looking for per his question.

I would suggest any of the jjp pins to mix it up with the Stern's. We love our Hobbit and woz, but as suggested, I would certainly try to play before buying or at least watch plenty of videos on each.

I have to respectfully disagree in regards to the modern enhancements of AFMr. In particular the LEDs are simply beautiful. Much nicer and brighter than incandescent lights, in my opinion. They are also fully adjustable on the remakes so you can dim them to your taste if that’s what you prefer. The LED strobe is also adjustable.

Agree.
What a stunning looking game.
And like you said the strobe LED flashers have been given two more levels of brightness that you can raise.
It comes loaded to a default setting but you can choose +1 or Max.
I tried them both and settled at the +1 level.
Max is really overkill, but it is nice to have it for people who want their retinas burned.

Don’t forget that Monster Bash “might” be coming soon and Elvira is coming soon, and JJP POTC is looking pretty good also.

You forgot the best one of the group................Alien.

#22 5 years ago

Two threads on this? ( Help deciding 4th pin )

#23 5 years ago

AFM and then WOZ

I wouldn't consider any of the other machines.

In my opinion you have two choices since you are limited on room. Star Wars and GOTG should be eliminated as they really don’t offer you anymore shot variety. The code is completely different but their play fields are borrowed from games you already own. AFMr and DI are your best options. My brother (Arcade who has commented above) and I struggled with that decision and chose AFMr and I think we made the right choice. The package enhancements you get for your money on the LE are amazing!! Powder coated rails, a custom topper that is best of the best of toppers, side mirrors and a shaker motor plus whatever I forgot at a decent price point. The comment above about the old AFM being better couldn’t be anymore off base. Maybe he saw some early production piece but the game is simply one of the most best looking pins I’ve ever laid eyes on!

The Dialed In is an amazing game and how could you go wrong with a Pat Lawlor layout? It’s still near the top of my list as well. I would not fault you for choosing that first.

Edit. I forgot about WOZ. I love this game too and not a bad choice. I’ve heard some people wish the code was deeper on it though.
