I have the decagon score reels with the large fiberboard sides .will these interchange with the later ones with the small fiberboad sides if i use my sides? The game is a gottlieb sky jump Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if they fit in terms of all the wiring and mounting (without swapping the mount, which may or may not fit either), but I know for sure you'd need to swap the plastic as the 70's one like on Sky Jump are round while the earlier ones like you mentioned are literally decagons.
Any reason you're looking to interchange them? Remember that pretty much everything can be fixed (unless they're broken/cracked, then maybe not as easy for you) or un-stuck, and it's not too bad to do.
I have access to a set of later ones,I thought since those are prone to problems and the previous owner greased everything up and now they barely move it might be a better choice

As with most things, you CAN exchange them, they all count from 1 to 0...etc...
but, question is, how hard do you wanna work?
you will need schematics from both types.
and, will the new set even fit/line up in place of the original one?
I know how much fun it is to overhaul a dec reel.
but, in the long run, clean them, and lube them, and keep them original.
still lots of work, but not as many surprises.
if you do decide to take this on, keep us posted!
it would be good to know how much hair it will cost to do this kind of mod.

Sounds like the grease may be the problem. Maybe cleaning them up would make them work better?
